Stories and highlights
There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.
High Potential and Gifted Education
Cranebrook High School's HPGE classes were hard at work investigating Turtle habitats at Penrith Lakes.
Accompanied by a talented group of Stage 3 students from Samuel Terry, the HPGE 7T and 8T learners got hands on experience conducting water testing, dip netting, and making their very own clay tiny Turtle to take home.
This rewarding experience gave students the opportunity to consolidate the work they have done in Challenge Lessons this term on conservation and sustainability in our local area.
Excellence at the Penrith Show
Our theme for this year is, "all things Duck."
The Cranebrook Agriculture Show Team competed at the Penrith Show and did an amazing job representing our school and themselves. 13 Schools from across the Hawkesbury Nepean and TAFE students were represented.

Nova Short Film Festival
If you haven’t yet experienced the magic of our Support Faculty’s Nova Short Film Festival entry, now is the perfect time to watch it - it’s truly impossible not to smile! This inspiring film is the result of incredible dedication and teamwork by our staff and students, who poured their hearts into creating a powerful story of resilience and growth.
Through their honest reflections, students discussed facing challenges head-on, seeking support, exploring options, and embracing opportunities can lead to meaningful change. Their story is a testament to the strength found in openness and perseverance.
Many students stepped outside their comfort zones to act in the film, showing bravery and commitment to the project.
Inclusion is also about leadership and, within our school, every student is encouraged to reach their full potential. A dedicated group of students contributed feedback and helped shape the final masterpiece, demonstrating the power of collaboration.
We were all moved by Anakin’s adapted words: “We won’t be the same person we were yesterday. Tomorrow, we’re not going to be who we are today.” This film is a heartfelt snapshot of the outstanding work happening in our classrooms at CHS - a celebration of courage, community, and the incredible potential of our students.
